Dual RED camera set up

Ferrari Productions shoots a two camera RED shoot in the studio. The Magner Sanborn agency out of Spokane Washington (www.magnersanborn.com) chose Ferrari Productions to produce video for Memjet (www.memjet.com), a San Diego based printing technology company. Memjet, whose slogan is “Suddenly, everything else is just slow”, has developed a line of printers that are revolutionary for speed an capability.

Darren Burnworth of Jibop.com and Blair Paulson of Alacrity media operated the two RED cameras, and Phil Ferrari acted as DP and program producer.

John Carney stopped by our studio recently to talk about his work with Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and its CEO, Shari Brasher. Formerly with the San Diego Chargers, John founded “Kick Start for Kids”, benefiting children in need of reconstructive surgery. Shari Brasher was recently awarded the Charlie Jones “Spirit” Award, and John Carney, along with Football greats Marcus Allen and Drew Brees.

After more than $100K spent in rebuilding the studio complex and offices, we are back in business! The construction crew did an incredible job in refurbishing the studio after the flood. We now have new paint, new carpet, and a rebuilt studio. The studio is better than ever and fully functional. Come by and visit us!

Studio Floods! City Storm Drain Backs Up

The rains came big on Jan 21st — after 4 days of rain in San Diego, Sorrento Valley was in bad shape. The drainage ditch adjacent to the studio that was choked full of weeds, dirt and garbage overflowed its banks and flooded the studio. Yes it was a torrential rainfall, and yes the ground was soaked, but the city needs to do its part and clear the dirt, plants and garbage and fulfill its obligations and take care of its property. Here are the photos of the flood – we are digging out and drying out and hope to back shooting soon!

Fresh Start Surgical Gifts has realized a dream of its founder, Dr. Dennis Nigro and opened a new clinic at Rady’s Childrens Hospital. Fresh Start provides reconstructive plastic surgery and related services to children and young adults with physical deformities. All services are provided free. The services, including surgery, dental, and speech clinic are provided in San Diego, California. Watch the video here:

Bailey the Diving Dog

We recently had a little fun in the water with Bailey the diving dog. Bailey is amazing – he loves the water and will dive down 12 feet or more to retreive on cue – see him here retrieving a soda can and cell phone!
