RED camera shoot for Memjdt

Dual RED camera set up
Ferrari Productions shoots a two camera RED shoot in the studio. The Magner Sanborn agency out of Spokane Washington (www.magnersanborn.com) chose Ferrari Productions to produce video for Memjet (www.memjet.com), a San Diego based printing technology company. Memjet, whose slogan is “Suddenly, everything else is just slow”, has developed a line of printers that are revolutionary for speed an capability.
Darren Burnworth of Jibop.com and Blair Paulson of Alacrity media operated the two RED cameras, and Phil Ferrari acted as DP and program producer.
We recently had a little fun in the water with Bailey the diving dog. Bailey is amazing – he loves the water and will dive down 12 feet or more to retreive on cue – see him here retrieving a soda can and cell phone! Tom Stewart, who performs the music for the video is the owner. (See his website @ http://backwaterbluesband.com/) We made the video to show off Baiey’s unique talents for possible TV and Film work. At Ferrari Productions, we want to wish all our clients, friends, vendors and associates a very Happy New Year. We look forward to 2009 and all the promises of the New Year.
The year 2008 was definitely an interesting year, with the elections, financial crash in the markets, and oh yes — all the challenges in the new media horizon. Blue Ray DVD, we learned, won the battle to be the dominant high definition DVD format, winning out over HD DVD.
New and evolving technologies are emerging, with a live broadcast of a football game in 3D, to more and more Internet and Web video. Tapeless workflow emerged as a new standard in video recording, along with all the challenges of storing those huge data files associated with High Definition Video. Hard drives, we have learned, must be cycled regularly to keep the data fresh and accessible.
New software and hardware became available in 2008, with the latest software including Adobe CS4 and updates for Apple Final Cut Pro. New and faster computers are on the horizon, as well as innovative camera systems such as the Red One, with its cinema quality, f4K raw files and more involved workflow.
2008 was an interesting year, and we expect 2009 to be full of opportunities and more innovation. Enjoy!
